Why Choose Strutmasters
Why Choose Strutmasters
Our clients like to tell us they chose the direct replacement Strutmasters conversion kit over air suspension repair because it is so much less expensive and more reliable. Our kits include only high-quality parts, backed by our limited warranty. This kit, particularly, includes two front strut assemblies with mounts, hardware, and premium coil springs, and two complete rear struts with mounts, hardware and premium coil springs. We have the ONLY Kits that include premium American-made coil springs. Not to mention, the kit can be installed yourself in about one hour per wheel. It's no wonder the majority of drivers choose conversion over replacement.

Replaced Components
The 2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 is built with the following suspension components:
2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 Air Struts (x4) - Struts that contain an air bladder whose dampening capabilities are controlled by the suspension control module; these have two functions. They connect the wheel of a vehicle to the driving surface in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. They also help maintain the vehicle's correct ride height, especially whenever the amount of load put onto the vehicle changes.
2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 Height Sensors (x2) - A linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, it will eventually wear out.
2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 Compressor - This vehicle is equipped with one air suspension compressor. The compressor is responsible for pumping up the air springs and shocks. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor is forced to run continuously to try and keep the air springs inflated. After a couple of days of running non-stop, the compressor will burn itself out. Replacing the compressor is a timely and expensive project to undertake.
2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 Suspension Control Module - This vehicle is equipped with a suspension control module. This module is the brain of the suspension system and it reads all of the signals that are being sent by the height sensors and determines if the vehicle needs to be raised or lowered.
2001-2006 Lexus LS 430 O-rings - Although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.
Suspension Failure Signs
A leaking and bad suspension can fail when you have put many miles on your car. Air suspensions are notoriously complex and expensive to repair. Look for changes in your ride height first- sagging? Inflated? Not good. Next, check the air compressor. Is it working too hard, or not at all? This is another symptom of failed suspension. Your Lexus might have a light on the panel, indicating a suspension warning. You definitely want to get this fixed before it's too late.
