Replaced Components
The 2003-2006 Lincoln LS is built with the following suspension components:
2003-2006 Lincoln LS Coil-over Struts (x4) - a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle. Coil springs are seated over the strut body and control the vehicles height.
Suspension Failure Signs
The Lincoln LS might have a failed suspension if either side is sagging or if the ride height seems suddenly uneven. Ride height should be consistent, or else you might have an issue. A shifting lean or a "squatting" appearance are major red flags. Early detection of a bad suspension is critical to avoiding total failure. If suspension progresses, the air compressor will wear out. At this stage, an illuminated suspension warning light will be on the dashboard. If any of these signs present themselves a repair is needed immediately.
