Replaced Components
The 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) is built with the following suspension components: 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Electronic Shocks (x2)- shocks abosrbers whose dampening capabilities is controlled by the suspension control module in order to ensure proper wheel-to-ground contact. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Air Springs (x4)- (models with air suspension only) commonly referred to as air bags, a plastic and rubber bag that is fitted on top of the strut that uses pressurized air as a cushion instead of a metal coil spring to hold a vehicle off of the ground and off of its wheels. These are the number one cause of all air suspension leaks. All air springs all go bad at about the same rate. If one is leaking, the others will not be far behind. For a proper repair, all of them need to be replaced at the same time.. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Struts (x2)- a type of shock absorber; has metal tubing filled with gas-charged hydraulic fluid that is connected to the wheel of a vehicle in order to reduce the effects of vertical travel on a rough surface which controls the bounciness, and therefore comfort, of a vehicle.; the air spring assembled on top of the strut is commonly referred to as an air strut. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Height Sensors (x4)- a linkage located near each wheel of a vehicle with any electronic suspension that, either mechanically or electronically, constantly measures the height of the vehicle, and reports this information back to the control module so that the computer can identify if changes in height need to be adjusted accordingly. The ride height sensor is a moving part, and like all moving parts, they will eventually wear out. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Air Lines- tubes that run from a compressor to the air struts which carry pressurized air to the air bags. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Solenoids (x4)- usually L-shaped, these plastic components connect the electrical connection and lines of suspension components to the suspension control module on vehicles with active suspension. The solenoid regulates the air pressure for each air spring. Solenoids start to leak as they wear out causing the vehicle to sag or to lean. This will cause the ride height sensor to send a signal to activate the compressor in an attempt to inflate the air suspension and level out the vehicle. This excessive work load will eventually lead to total failure of the compressor. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Compressor Assembly- creates/sends pressurized air to active suspension components. When the air suspension starts leaking, the compressor/pump starts working harder to try to keep the system inflated. By the time air suspension leaks down completely, sitting the vehicle on its tires, the compressor will either have failed or be well on its way to full failure. Buying replacement struts and taking the time to install them only to find out the compressor still needs to be replaced can be very frustrating, time-consuming, and expensive. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) Suspension Control Module- a computer which is responsible for the operations of the air suspension system and maintaining the vehicles correct ride height. 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon (RWD Wagon) O-rings- although they are the least expensive parts of the air suspension, they are responsible for maintaining the seal where all of the air lines connect. Be sure to replace the O-rings when repairing any air suspension system.

Suspension Failure Signs
If you notice your 2006-2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 (RWD) Wagon can not meet and maintain its appropriate ride height, then you may need to look for these common signs that indicate a failed or leaking air suspension system. You will want to diagnose the issue as soon as possible before total failure sets in and renders the E350 immobile. The most noticeable symptom is a sudden uneven height difference between different sides of the E350. There may be a sagging front or rear end, with an inflated opposing end. There may be a shifting lean from one side to the other. The E350 may look like it’s squatting down low to the ground. If any of these issues with ride height are present in your ride, a suspension repair or replacement may be in your future. Look inside the vehicle at the instrument cluster. If you see an illuminated suspension warning light or message, then there is most likely an issue. If the air compressor has stopped working or is running too often (will be very loud and noisy), then a bad suspension may have caused it to wear out.

OEM Replacement Cost
'+ Front Air Strut Assemblies ($1,240/strut) ) + Rear Electronic Shocks ($180/shock) + Rear Air Spring ($380/spring) + Air Compressor Assembly ($740)= Over $4,300 (and that doesnt even include replacing electronic components that are known to fail such as the height sensors). SOME PARTS UNAVAILABLE!
There is a wide assortment of parts that make up the air suspension system on the 2006-2009 Benz E350. It is costly to bring the E350 into the dealership every time one of these parts malfunctions. As the Suspension Experts, we knew we could come up with an affordable and high-quality solution. This product includes one custom-designed suspension light-fix module, two new pre-assembled front coil-over struts using premium steel coil springs, two new premium coil springs with mounts, and two passive hydraulic fluid and gas shocks for the rear end of the E350. DIYers love the kit because it is installed easily, in about one hour per wheel. It comes with easy to read instructions, so it saves frustration. The kit saves a huge chunk of change, too. Once you see the cost difference between choosing an air vs non-air suspension system, youll know why our satisfied customers are happy they made the switch. On this page, we compare three different prices: that of repairing your air suspension system at the Mercedes-Benz dealer, that of installing air suspension parts on your E350 individually, and that of getting rid of the faulty air ride headache for good and installing our coil-over suspension conversion kit today.
